In the light of the Seminary's Mission Statement "Fidelity to our identity as Teacher, Minister and Leader through Integral formation and growth In pastoral charity and Apostolic zeal, candidates for the ministerial priesthood in the Catholic Church are given an integral formation which encompasses a philosophical and theological education, human, spiritual and pastoral formation. Through this holistic formation, seminarians will be imbued with a mature faith in Christ expressed in an upright and moral life, and zeal for the Church's mission. Effective ministry also requires that our students nurture Christ-like and altruistic qualities of leadership in the priestly ministry.

Besides forming seminarians, the Seminary also provides an opportunity for ongoing religious education to the religious and laity so that they too can collaborate effectively in the one mission of the Church.

Fr Damian De Wind

"Surrounded by nature's beauty, I encounter the God of creation again and again, and especially so in my fellow brothers. Living in a community is just like in any other family, we too have our fair share of ups and downs, our joys and pains.

Community living also calls for lots of giving and taking, learning to accept each other as we are, and it is the whole process of sharing one's life that I find seminary life so fulfilling."

- Fr Damian De Wind
Ordained a Diocesan Priest in 2005
