IS PRIESTHOOD FOR ME ?
Where your heart is, there is your treasure also. (Mt 6:21)
You can’t be sure initially. You have to find out. If you are called, God will show you the way. And if you listen to Him, you will be able to discern His will for you gradually.
- There are some signs that you could take as hints from the Lord:
- When you read the scriptures, the texts speak to you of following Jesus more closely.
- You feel drawn to greater involvement in Church life.
- You desire a closer relationship with God and want to seek his will.
- People around you, such as the parish priest and your friends invite you to find out more about vocation.
- You feel dissatisfied with worldly life, and would like to make a change in life direction.
- You are full of ideals for the Lord and the Church, and you want to contribute yourself more.
- You feel an attraction to be like one of the priests you know.
